When people unsettle me with their words, I will choose to be settled with God’s Words.
When children yell and scream, I will choose to whisper.
When the rain keeps coming, I will choose to look for the sun.
When my children sing loudly, I will choose to join in the song.
When my children talk incessantly, I will choose to stop and listen.
When the laundry piles grow and the kitchen floor remains littered with dinner, I will choose to rest in the mess.
When the kids clamor for my attention, I will choose to remember to hug my sweetie at the end of a long day.
When tomorrow rides in on winds of change and chaos, I will choose to remember what I wrote today.
