A Whirlwind of a Week

As a homeschool mom, I am often asked IF I take breaks from school. Although I am a structured teacher, the question should be better asked WHEN am I taking a break with the kids. I consider it a blessing to be able to teach my own kids at home, but there come times in the year such as spring break when a change of schedule is welcome. This past week was one of those times.

As I try to gear up for the week ahead, I look back on the special moments from the last seven days. My brother and his family live close by, and my sister and her family live in the Midwest. We enjoyed the fun of getting all together and making some special memories: family dinners, a trip to the aquarium, tea with the girls, and a picnic and fun at my brother's home. I posted a few pictures that I am sure you will enjoy J . If not, just pretend. We, moms, have to stick together, right?

Our break is over, and our family will hit the ground running tomorrow as three of my kids will be taking achievement tests. Until then, I will enjoy a sunny, relaxing afternoon. Maybe I'll grab a cup of tea, take a nap, or even read a book. Tomorrow will come quickly, and summer can't come soon enough. For today, I will rest in the whirlwind.
