What is Beautiful?

She spied the lonely green stems poking their way through the earth in spring.  Every day she looked out the window of the van as we drove by to discover what flower would emerge.  She waited to see the beauty.
A new store in town displayed both the simple and the elaborate in elegant dresses.  Its storefront changed frequently giving my little one reason to smile at color, sequins, and ruffes.  She shared her fascination with me.
She plays with crayons and markers, water colors and acrylics.  She draws. She imagines.  She sees beauty.
Her room is a mess, and her outfits may clash, but she sees life for its beauty.
